This intricate paper cut celebrates the SABBATH (SHABBAT) CANDLE-LIGHTING CEREMONY!
Every Shabbat right before Sundown the Jewish woman lights the Shabbat Candles.
She recites a special prayer.
This paper cut was created as a tribute to this Jewish ritual.
In the center of the piece is printed in black type, the Hebrew blessing for the Sabbath candles and the additional prayers Jewish women traditionally say.
Surrounding the blessing, is my paper cut design by laser cutting
